Default Finance jobs

Hi Everyone,

Okay so I finished my MBA and now trying to break into the financial industry (asset Management/stock selling) and wanted to know if anyone can give me some advice or help me land a job, association with someone in the industry.

So far I am getting offers from Insurance but there are a list of certificates that I have to get which the company would not pay for.

Thanks in advance.

Can't you yourself pay for the certificates? If you had those, would you be a better prospect for other companies, too?

Otherwise, it's just basically networking, getting your resume on job search sites, etc. Sane as job hunting for any job.

There's a whole host of useful info here

especially in the last few posts where the OP described what he felt worked for him.

Good luck!

Some of those aren't cheap. One of them the missus needed to take was about $4K but the company stumped for it, but I'm not sure if that was including the online classes or just the exam.

Thanks for the responses, yes the exams are expensive and the hours I need to study for them too, just finished spent two years studying for an MBA which was not cheap.
