English Premier league Football - any tips?
With the season fast approaching in the UK. Does anyone have any tips on how to watch live games?
Is there a particular US network that shows them or are they pay per view??

NBC is the one you want. Most weekends NBC Sports Network channel show at least three sometimes five or more live games. They also show them on some of their other channels occasionally including NBC, Lifetime, CNBC and others. What games they are not showing live on tv they show live online.
Basically it's possible to watch more PL games live over here than they get in UK (or so it seems). Apparently NBC are introducing some kind of 'Premium Package' for some of the games this season but the majority are included with an average cable/satellite subscription.

Yeah, like Brit In TN said, NBC sports network (NBCSN) is your best bet. What they don't show on TV they typically stream online (you login with cable TV credentials).
Each week I would just advise Googling "<insert team here> USA TV" and there will be bound to be an option.

The games that NBCSN show online will require a $50 one off subscription this year.

Thanks, great info cheers. Can't see my beloved Stoke City being on the main channels unless they are playing one of the big guns.
Anyone any experience with KODI in the US?

We have ATT Uverse and every single Premier League 3:00PM KO is available, you can't even get that in England.

I've seen more Manchester United games in the last 4 years then I have ever seen before. NBC is your friend in that regard.

KODI is great for playing your own content; home videos, ripped DVD's or BluRays, recorded shows etc.
But streaming live content is something of a pain in the bum. KODI works fine but the plugins and streaming sources are constantly changing and breaking. If you're trying to stream a few specific channels, chances are you'll be making tricky adjustments every week or two.

I never had Sky in the UK, so one of my favourite parts of moving to NYC was suddenly having access to as much EPL football (and F1) on TV as I could stomach.
The idea that they had live games every weekend on NBC was a very pleasant surprise.
"And I only pay for the basic cable package from TWC aswell!, what a bargain" I thought.
Then I realised my "basic cable package" cost $100 a month and was more expensive than paying for Sky Sports back in the UK.

I went to see LA Galaxy vs Man U live last week and the stadium was full of American so called Man U fans. Except they also cheered when LA Galaxy scored. A strange bunch.

Er, actually, no. It's immoral and maybe breach of copyright, but not illegal, as was proved in court not too long ago. It's illegal to download and store content, but apparently, not illegal to view it!
