Does anyone remember those awful brushed nylon sheets? They were cold, gave you an electric shock when you touched the things and if you had a nail that was a bit rough, it always used to catch on the sheets.
We had brushed nylon sheets in the early 70’s...lime green and bright pink.

I just put the flannel cover on the duvet. Heaven.

While we are on the subject of bedding...

Bottom fitted sheets...I’ve never found any that fit nice and tight like ones in the UK do. I’ve tried expensive ones, mid range ones, cheap ones...they all crease up on top of the mattress.

Even worse if you wore a brushed nylon nightie. Total static electricity

Ours are all very tight - have to be stretched over the last corner, and are pulled tight like a drum skin. I think it's because the mattress seems thicker than a British mattress, and perhaps thicker than the sheets are designed for.

This is for US sheets on a US mattress, and it's a regular mattress not a damn "pillow top"!

Sounds like there is way too much going on in the JG bedroom

Struggled with full size mattress as the fitted sheets we found here were the same size for full-size or queen. We recently ordered double bed fitted sheets from John Lewis and they fit the US purchased fullsize mattress perfectly. The shipping was 10 gbp to ship to the US!

We brought some JL vouchers with us (wedding gift) because we heard that they ship to the US. Did you have to pay any import duty when your delivery arrived, please?

Nope, no import duty was charged, the package/parcel arrived on our door step.

I bought some of these in the summer and they are perfect on my UK double (full) mattress. 400 thread count makes them feel lovely.
SÖMNTUTA Fitted sheet - Queen - IKEA
eta not sure why it says "queen" here. you can select full or double size
