Anyway go to the poll below and cast your vote from these five:
Carlton Palmer (Stockport)
Graham Taylor (Villa)
Glenn Hoddle (Spurs)
Howard Wilkinson (Leeds)
Terry Venables (Leeds)

Webbie.
Oh how short of a memory do you City fans have?

What about Steve "45 days" Coppell for Manchester City?
Brian Horton?
Frank Clarke?
Joe Royle who finally took you to Division 2.

I was hoping you wouldn't drag this up.
"NURSE ! Need me pills again...."

I actually met Joe Royle in a service station once, both of us were bitching about the price of a pasta salad when the sudden realisation of who I was standing next to....

Not his fault about the state of the things at the time (board of directors, no investment, etc)
Got a lot of time for the man, glad to see him doing well with Ipswich.

As I said I did the poll for the managers from the last couple of season - might do a poll for all time worst manager.
Steve (I'm suffering from stress, honest) Coppell will be in there.

-----
In other news:
Friday night match - Newcastle only played a couple of days ago.
Lord Robson of Tyneside must be very unhappy with this.

Gianluca Viali looking at the Spurs job.
What happened to George Graham ?
His name is usually brought up as soon a vacancy comes up (even with Spurs)

AC Milan release Rivaldo -->
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...pe/3142882.stm
Middlesboro now taking an interest in him.
Boro...?!
Oh come on, someone else grab him !

Scotch
As well as being a part-time footy pundit, I do a side line in fortune telling:

*Whips out crystal ball*

Ravinelli makes his debut, scores with his first touch, celebrates by taking off his shirt to reveal a Boro shirt underneath, gets sent off, Edgar Davids, who is watching secretly in the stands puts on Rav's shirt and takes his place on the field, scores from the kick off.

Villa have a defender injury crisis, David O'Leary comes out of retirement and takes the field, Chelsea put 10 past them, with Veron scoring seven, whilst celebrating Veron pulls off his mask to reveal that he is in fact Gianluca Viali who has been masquerading all these years as Veron to prove a point to Ken Bates (nobody told him that a Russian now owns the club).

Scotch sees all of this in an Irish bar in San Fransisco who have Sky Sports.
Proceeds to get very, very drunk and crashes the karaoke...

"EYE LEFT ME HEAAART..." *hic* "IN DUNDEEEEEE LIBRARY...."

(Yeah I know after only two beers )

----------------------------------------------

Whilst I'm here - can I ask who supports which club(s) ?
Come on - nail your colours to the mast.

Mine is prob well known already - Man City
(but also keep an eye out for Liverpool since I lived there as well.)
I know that Manc ('76) follows Stockport.
Scotch is Dundee.
Tony ('03) - Hearts ?
Everyone else ?

Webbie.
(Nickname given to me on my website, which seems to have stuck.)

I'm a Motherwell fan so I hope Tony_03 is crying into his beer this evening. Mind you Hearts are one of our (many) bogey teams so it is doubtful.

I'll be keeping an eye out for Everton scores now as the boy wonder - James McFadden - has moved there and looks set to light up the Premiership. Radio 5 Live have already stated they wish he was English.

Default Robson 'incensed' after defeat

Robson 'incensed' after defeat -->
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...ed/3144696.stm
"Newcastle boss Sir Bobby Robson blamed his side's 3-2 defeat against Arsenal on a free-kick decision which eventually led to the Gunners' 79th-minute winner."

Do you think, if their league form continues, that Newcastle would replace Lord Robson of Tyneside...?
I mean the bloke is football royalty. Would they dare ?

It's horrible to see the Manger and team down there at the moment.
I know that they only need a good run without defeat and they could be mid table in a month, but these days the clubs have no patience and sack a manager given the slightest excuse.

Shearer is cited as the one who will take the throne in the future, but it's too early for him yet.

Saint Alan of Ball too, revered as a God in Portsmouth, yet universally despised in Manchester & Stoke

It's a funny old game !
