Hi all, do any of you use any online websites to buy British food?

I want to be able to buy a Christmas pudding once we are there for Christmas :-)

Harris Teeter and Publix in NC seem to have a good selection. In fact today I managed to get 50% off a bunch of British Snacks in the clearance section.

World food Market has a very good selection of stuff like that. (the best I've seen so far) Very expensive though and they do alot of German xmas stuff Stollen included.

Publix is my go-to, plus there are many online retailers. Most of those know how to charge a pretty penny, though.

A good online source is Amazon.

I was in World Food Market yesterday (it's located in a Bed, Bath & Beyond) and there was not one British candy in the store. I don't eat much of it but enjoy looking out for them. They did have a pretty good selection of biscuits but I'm seeing more and more Mexican foodstuff and less and less European.

The stuff in Harris Teeter is overpriced and often near it's sell by date, and I can't be ärsed driving all over town looking for bits and pieces, but we occasionally buy things from Amazon and the prices can be quite good - PG Tips is cheaper than locally available (mostly because it's a giant box), and you can get 2x500g jars of Marmite for $20.

I use englishteastore.com for foods that I can't get at HEB or world market. Every year at Christmas each of my kids gets their own big tin of roses as a gift....also at Easter I buy British candy for them. On Black Friday they always have a sale running and that's when I do my Christmas order.

i live in the DFW area in Texas and there's a store named the British Emporium.

I last went in there at easter to get real easter gets. $28.99 a piece for a large creme egg one.

My total on the way out was $124 - 100% worth it though

OP - make your christmas pudding. It's really not that hard and you get to add as much booze as you like !

I THINK my gran used to steam her xmas pud. I seem to remember her having it wrapped in a cloth and over a pan for hours on end. That sound right?

Probably all microwaved now I suppose.

I use british corner shop and they are excellent. It usually takes about a week for the order to arrive, and they charge shipping costs by weight, so you can maximize the size / weight of your order to avoid paying excess charges.
