Anyone in Seattle?
Hi
We're moving out to Seattle towards the end of Feb. E2 treaty visa with a large British company over there, my hubbie's new job.
We've got 3 kids between 8 and 16.
Is there anyone here in Seattle? Looking for recommendations for the best places to look for property. I know prices there are crazy expensive, & "safe, family-friendly area" and "affordable" may not exist!
Thanks

Re: Anyone in Seattle?
Well, you're right, affordable and family friendly are opposites in the city. You could actually argue that affordable doesn't exist at all right now.
Traffic is terrible and getting worse, so work out where in the city hubby needs to reach and how much time he is willing to spend in traffic to get to work. Check out Google drive times for when he is expecting to commute. With the light rail extending you could live quite a bit outside the city and commute in if you want without having to drive yourself.

"Seattle" can be used to describe a large area with greatly different commute times.
Many families live on the Eastside, eg Sammamish, as you get safe & Family-friendly, with great schools.
I live in 'unincorporated King County' or just outside Redmond, but would not want to commute into Seattle city itself.
