I am using assets as an adjunct on my 134 affadavit of support. I am self employed and will be showing 3 years of tax transcripts at interview.
My questions are:
1. Does the X5 apply to the deficit of the last years tax total OR to the total of the full 3 years?
2. Would the valuation on my home owners insurance be sufficient to prove the value of property? The county tax assesment is not true picture, it is low. I know an apprasial would suffice, but they want $300 to do and I would like to avoid this.

The regulations state that the minimum income requirement determination is supposed
to be made off the most current financial state of the sponsor. The past three years
taxes are necessary to show that an individual can maintain their income.

the valuation should be fine, however much is often left up to the interpretation of
the INS officers...so always be as accurate and careful as possible.
