Default $2.87 a gallon....or at least for a little while

Got lucky this morning. Filled up the car for $2.87 a gallon.

Same gas station the afternoon before was $3.88, this afternoon it's $3.87.

Has this happened to anyone else? I guess they just punched in 2 instead of 3 when they adjusted the price?

I was happy

Good going...I'd have gone back with a barrel and loaded up, sod the fire risk in the garage

Cheapest down my way is $3.85 for cash...everyone else have punched $4 for the cheapo stuff.

It crossed my mind. Wife drives a tahoe but works away. Would love to have filled that thing up.

what's the car? chances are, could still run on regular...might lose a bit of extra punch and possibly get marginally less mileage on the motorway, but most cars wouldn't notice the difference.

You have to be a member. Also, they do not take cash -- you must use an AmEx or a bank debit card. They do NOT take Visa or MasterCard credit card.

There was a gas station somewhere here in Louisville that decided to do some kind of giveaway - and sold gas for $.88/gal..wish I would have known that. I would have went and bought a 55 gallon drum to fill up.

Mine is a Mercedes and the other half has a supercharged Jaguar. I'm just glad we aren't still in Calgary where gas is over $5/gallon for regular and hubby always used 94 octane, I don't want to even think of what that would cost these days!

Yes. We get 3% of our spending back from Costco. We also pay by Amex and get 3% back from them.

ie 6% back in total.

In summary, Costco's gas price is the cheapest in our area (Bay Ho/LJ/UTC/Clairemont), and then we get 6% back of our spend.
