I doubt they will degrade very quickly. My grandparent's certificates
from the 50's are in frames in my Aunt's house and they look fine. Prior
to being framed I think they were in envelopes for years

I'm sorry, I wasn't as clear as I should have been. If you move in the 10 days immediately prior to your oath ceremony, you do not have to tell them. If you move more than 10 days prior to your oath ceremony, you do need to tell them!
