There are a huge amount of international pharmaceutical companies in NJ, Johnson & Johnson etc, not sure if that is an area your partner could work in, the industry is a huge employer here. maybe worth investigating if you could get a job with one that then could potentially transfer you on an L visa as then the trailing spouse can work.
