Default USCIS now accepts credit card

For the forms this forum mostly consumes USCIS can now accept credit/debit card.

Simply include form G-1450

So if you are refused can you claim your money back from the CC company?

Just to add that N400 and I90 can both be paid online without that form, if you wish.

How were you supposed to pay previously?

Cheque? Back in 2012 we asked a relative (US citizen) to write a check after we did a bank transfer to her. I guess there must have been another way (direct withdrawal?) but I forget.

I am sure I sent a credit card form with the I-130 back in 2006, and I thought used a credit card at the Embassy for the visa.

Yes, those handled by the London embassy have been able to use credit cards for a while but until now those dealing with the lock boxes in the US had to send cheques or money orders.

Question and maybe a warning:

After 18 years we are finally able to apply for a green card as our daughter became a citizen through marriage. I sent in I-130's and I-485's for both my husband and I with credit card authorizations on each one. One set of fees was authorized but the 3rd charge triggered a fraud hold on my account and the charge was denied. They did not attempt the 4th charge. I cannot see any way of contacting them to advice them to try again as the hold has been lifted. I wonder if they will contact me (more hope than conviction they will!). I guess my warning is not to use a credit card for multiple charges!

I would appreciate any advice and will let you know any outcome.

They sent the entire application back along with a form to include when I resubmitted. I had already resubmitted a duplicate packet and am waiting to hear if it has been accepted.
