Default sad news for sister in-law

Hi all, my wife gave me some sad new regarding her sisters K-1 visa.
She went to the interview with her son and it looks like she didn't
get the visa. :(

I'm not up on the details yet. My wife told me that her sister didn't
use a lawyer to prep her for the interview citing cost. ($2000), My
wife did use a lawyer and her interview went well.

I haven't been able to pry my sister in-law's fiance's name or contact
information out of my wife yet. All I know is his name is "Buddy", he
lives in the Huntsville area, and apparently is an electrical engineer
working as a manager for the state.

I wanted to contact him to see if I could help out in any way. I am
going to press my wife to get his name so I can call him.

Anyway, what is the appeals process for a rejected K-1 visa? I want to
givce my wife all the details so she can talk with her sister and
reverse this decision.

Thanks!

I'm not sure there is an appeals process but, even so, it may simply be easier to submit a new K-1 application.

Also IF it was denied, the reason why. I don't recall what country your wife is from, therefore, don't have a clue what country her sister and nephew are in.

Ned,

How can you expect to give a detailed explanation of what to do when you don't have a detailed explanation of what happened?

Regards, JEff
