Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application
Hi all,
Received email Friday 22nd with "request for passport" wording was "we are in the final stages of your visa application" so let's hope that means visa ready for issuance. Have send passport off today and will let you guys know what comes back my end. Interview date was 09 March so waiting time until email received : 4,5 month. Reverting

Great news, congratulations.
My interview date was 15th March so hopefully will not be too long for me.
Best of luck

Just a quick note on Secondary interviews at the airport - travelled to Florida recently and after passing through customs was directed to secondary interview area.
The Secondary consisted of a 10 minute wait as there were 4 other 'customers' there, then was called to the desk to be asked
1. Why are you visiting Florida?
2. Where were you born?
On your way....... A non event!

Depends on where you are applying. I am not British citizen, but from Denmark, so I don't know what's it called from UK. From Denmark it was just the local embassy department email. I've heard in UK it's from a "no reply" email. Sorry I cannot enlighten more.

Hi, I've heard timescales are coming down and reading a few threads on here looks like they are to. We have been waiting just over 4 months now for a 3rd waiver so hopefully not long now. When was your appointment?

Hi Rete,
true true, I am also optimistic. The status have changed from "Refused" to "administrative processing" where it further tells me that either this will take several weeks to process and they will revert with further questions or if approved I will have it returned within 2 business days. So lets hope. Again, this wording just makes me sceptic as the email initially sent for request does not mention approval or not, just "final stages"...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application
Hi
I don't know if anyone can offer some advice.
My husband and I have booked to go to NYC (travelling from the UK) at the beginning of October. We didn't realise that two bad errors made 10 years ago for the same conviction would come back and bite us. I attended an interview at the Embassy on Friday 29th July and was told they would need to apply for a waiver of ineligibility which would take 5-6 months. We are disappointed as its our friends wedding in October (reason for travelling) and it looks like we cannot go. I have in desperate measures emailed by local MP to see if he can help in anyway. Is there anyway you can speed up the process for the waiver of ineligibility? 10 weeks until we go and £2800 down and worrying like mad. Do we just have to wait for an email or do we need to apply? Any help or advice would be appreciated?
