Default New Embassy at Nine Elms info .

Got Visa appointment this morning ...14 months after original application made . Very excited to take this next step . Possible useful info for those visiting the new location . Arrive early and enjoy a coffee in Waitrose right next door( 3 mins walk away .)
We have been asked if we mind our interview being recorded by a tv film crew onsite today ...politely declined !

I don't blame you. I'd have said the same thing.

Yes apparently a Channel 4 documentary being put together ....15 minutes of fame junkies will live the opportunity ๐Ÿ˜‚ !!

Visa approved in 45 minutes and feeling euphoric...and emotional and a bit numb too but looking forward to a new start in the USA.

Thank you again to everyone on this forum who contributes and a special thanks to those who have helped us with answers and guidance...this forum is invaluable when going through this life changing process ! No doubt will have lots more questions but off for lunch and s drink before heading back to Scotland on the train ( weather permitting ...but then we donโ€™t really care too much about that right now ๐Ÿ˜‚)

Congratulations!

For what kind of visa was the interview for? How long did it take to schedule the appointment?

Congratulations!

I'd have also declined, seems very odd anyone would want something so important and personal to them being filmed!

Thank you . Immigration Visa ( Family) scheduling of interview took about 3 months after NVC approved docs but that did include Xmas holidays and of course the Embassy move to Nine Elms location .

Thank you ...yes it was all a bit odd but clearly they had full permission of The Embassy who wrote to us in advance and told us they would be filming ...they made it clear to those of us who prefer privacy that we could request that they donโ€™t show our faces etc . I suppose the documentary could be used to show how seriously the process is taken but was unexpected amongst all the security etc .

I am being sponsored for an Employment Based Green Card and I was hoping for a shorter wait than 3 months, but I guess that the Embassy is generally quite busy.

How long did it take for documents approval by NVC after you submitted everything?
