Find a thread in the immigration section and show how you would do it differently. It really isn't that difficult is it if you have a genuine point to make rather than just a troll.

No it's not, it's for people to post stuff on. People may answer questions other people post but that isn't the reason for the forum. An immigration lawyer is there to help people looking to move to the States.

They grow out of what people post, it's not the reason the forum exists.

Because it's a fairly difficult and emotional process and we tend to bond while going through it?

Exactly snowbunny,
when we moved over from London UK to Calgary AB, we met some really great people who were doing the exact same thing and other Brits were here and advised us on alot of stuff an "outsider" would not know.
They could have been like "some" and just been one word anwsers..which would have been as useful as a second arsehole

It sounds to me so far as if you have a problem with basically one or two people, and on behalf of others (not in answer to your own questions). Maybe your time would have been better spent messaging those users directly to tell them how you feel?

Some questions are worded poorly and/or are posted in the wrong forum (the one you cite is an example of both).

If you DO spend some time on the USA & Trailer Park forums (the US equivalent of the Canada & Maple Leaf forums) you'd see lots of the insider info you mention.
You also have to factor in that work related US immigration is not DIY like Canada's. If you want to see more warm/fuzzy DIY immigration posts, the US marriage based forum is full of them.

I think what annoys some of us is the fact that most of the questions that get asked have been trashed to death and get asked over and over.... all the new folk with these questions have to do is click the search button.

And some others just want to ask a question and get a positive reply rather then the truth, thats when it gets a bit hissy pissy, there was a guy yesterday that just would not get it into his head that his father who had over stayed could not return to the US on the VWP based on the facts he gave us about the overstay.

If People don't want the truth especially from the experts and as much as Fatbrit takes the piss, he is spot on, the man knows what he is talking about, he and a few others, say it as it is, take it or leave it attitude, personally I would prefer that kind of response.

So ignore Fatbrits post if you don't like them. A lot of what they post is irrelevant sarcasm but if you do choose to ignore him you'll miss the gems of information which are really useful. Besides some of the posts are really quite amusing.

If people come on here and asked questions on topics which are easily researched in the Wiki perhaps the blunt approach is the only way to reach them. Certainly if that is their mentality they have little hope of surviving in the stand on your own two feet or go under world of the US of A. Putting them off is doing them a favor.

If i wanted warm and fuzzy i would be on the computer.
I do understand how hard it is for some people accept the fact that it is what it is!.

My "COMMENT" not question was on that fact people ask for help.

As for DIY Yes moving to the US can be DIY if you have all the paper work and information.

Like moving to any country some stuff is out of your hands but thats just they way it works, but you sure as hell don't need a lawyer or anything outside your own research, the us embassy.

As for my experience, no i have had nothing but great people help me, as i have with people that want to move to Canada from England.

Yep but he was a pilot (probably on MS Flight Simulator) and did think that made a difference.

You have a yes/no question. Guy wants to know if the lack of a degree will prevent him from getting a green card from an L1a. The answer is simply no

For example: Do you think Day77 is a mindless troll? Yes
It really isn't necessary to lay out the reams of evidence already available in the thread.
