Default L1 Visa - New Office

Hey everyone

New member here looking for some advice. My company is applying for an L1 executive Visa for new office setup in the US.

Ill be heading out to open the office and understand that for the Visa we need to have secured office space. Can anyone tell me ia it enough to have a shared office space prior to arrival? I ask as we would like to get too the US first then find an office suitable to our needs.

Thank you!

Tom

I would say as long as the company name is on the lease, yes.

The answer to OP's question can be very fact specific. Also, USCIS has tightened up on it's interpretations. Legal consultation is in order.

When I got my L1 visa, my company was working in a WeWork office, which is a shared office space.

I think the point of the USCIS requirement is that your US office is not just some guy working in his mums basement claiming to be a US 'branch' shipping over immigrants.

Full disclosure; I'm not a lawyer.
