L1 Blanket Visa Interview
Hi everybody,
So after 4 long months my visa paperwork is finally on its way to me. Arriving today! I have completed the DS160 and booked my interview in London for the 28th April - just 7 days away.
My company secured a blanket petition and I will be the first to apply via the blanket.
As I am the first applicant under the blanket petition will this make my interview any different/intense?
What can I expect at the embassy regarding questions that will be asked?
Any preparation anyone can advise of?
Finally got this far and its nerve wracking thinking it comes down to 1 interview now.
Thanks all!

I'm in the same boat, although just starting the process. I had hoped it would be complete in less than 4 months. Was there any particular delay in your application?
Do you know what documents you have to take with you to the appointment?

Answer questions clearly, concisely, and needless to say, honestly.
Don't waffle, and don't provide information that wasn't asked for and/or is specifically relevant.

Our interview consisted of asking hubby what job he'd be doing as a friendly conversational opener, then several minutes of discussing the weather in Phoenix (where we were moving to) while he rifled through the forms, stamping as he went. It was like chatting at a somewhat bizarre cocktail party.

Thanks everybody, I did enjoy the bizarre cocktail party comment!
So a very basic questioning? I guessed it would be anti-climatic!

Approved!
I'm not sure if it would be helpful to write up my experience.
Very anti-climatic that's for sure.
2 weeks today I fly!
Thanks everyone again!

Boswortha. I hope this reaches you in time. I did the first window after my number was called, paid the fee and they gave me a file which you then take to a second window.
At this window I got 4 simple questions:
Interviewer: You work for XYZ?
Me: Yes
Interviewer: Are you a manager or specialist knowledge?
Me: Manager
Interviewer: How long have you worked for XYZ?
Me: 3 years
Interviewer: What do XYZ do?
Me: XYZ do.... (1 sentance response)
Interviewer: Approved you will have your passport back in 7 days

Congrats Alex!
I'm still at the very early stages of this process but hoping it takes less than 4 months!
