Default I-407 - Given Up Green Card - What else??

Hi - I left the US in December 2017 and moved back to the UK. I sent my Green Card and my I-407 form to the US Embassy in London in December as soon as I got back and the from was sent back to me before the end of the year. So my questions are:

1/ Is there anything else I need to do to effectively 'close ties' with the US and specifically the IRS? I am working on submitting my 2017 Tax Return with my US accountant but do I need to notify them separately? I am not assuming that the immigration dept inform the IRS of a green card holder leaving so effectively the IRS will still think I'll be filing tax returns for years to come (and I don't want them coming after me for failure to file) next time I visit the US on holiday.

2/ Also, as I left in 2017, I'm assuming the last tax return I need to do is the 2017 one? An obvious answer probably but one can never be too sure!

I remember a poster on here had a list of all the things he needed to do to relinquish the Green Card (including file I-407), but I can't find the thread now. I feel like I'm missing something other than the 2017 Tax Return and filing I-407. Any help from anyone??

Of course you need to ensure that any financial affairs are in order (lines of credit etc) but other that there's nothing else to do - just keep copies of any paperwork regarding the relinquishing you receive so if the IRS ever rears it's head again (it won't, but just in case) you can prove that you surrendered on the appropriate date.

The "ACS" in the Embassy has tax services. I don't know the answer but they might be the people to ask. Also, the words "sailing permit" sticks in the mind.
