I should have my gc soon and was wondering how long it takes to qualify for
citizenship. Also from what date can I begin counting the years? Is it from the time
I moved to the US or from the date of my Conditional gc?

I *think* it's from the date you were approved for your conditional greencard. It
could possibly be from when you have the conditions removed but I don't think so. I'm
sure someone can give a more definite answer on this. Oh yes and it's 3 years from
that date if you're married.

Then go to "Edit, find" in your browser and type in "citizenship". It'll give you all
your answers, assuming this is marriage based.

All the best, Beth

It is three years from the date of your approval for the green card (the I-551 in
your passport) if your adjustment is based on marriage ot a US Citizen. Not three
years from the date of your marriage.

If you adjusted status from something other than marriage to a US citizen, it is five
years from the date of your approval for a green card.
