H1B New Employer & Extension
Hi all,
Looking for some clarity as my immigration lawyer and embassy providing different advice.
I am in status in the US on an H1B.
I left Employer A for Employer B. The new petition for Employer B was approved and my I-797 granted.
I am heading to the UK on vacation in August and want to get my visa reprinted in my passport with the new Employer B's name and the extended date.
Do I need to go through the whole DS-160 application again in order to get an appointment at the US embassy in London or is there a much simpler way of doing this? My lawyer told me there is a "Drop Box" service?
The embassy website won't let me book an appointment online as it still shows an old appointment of mine from 2015.
Thanks in advance!

I believe you have to submit a new DS-160 for the new visa.

To my knowledge, you have to do the DS-160 and in -person appointment at the embassy to get a new visa. Have not heard of a drop box on these forum discussions.
