Dont you have to apply for adjustment of status etc if your priority date is current?

My I-140 has been pending for over 6 months, so I think USCIS are busy right now!
What does your current I-485 processing time for your received date look like on their wait times portal?

When exactly was the I-485 filed? What do you mean by resetting the time? A family friend's I-485 was filed in January 2017 and is still pending. Ours was filed the same month and luckily was approved in June. It all seems like a crapshoot really.

the 1-485 was filed September I assume after the 1-140 was approved - our lawyer says can take 60 days
but now lawyers saying could be another 3-5 months. I've no idea whats going on

Nothing is going on, it's just being processed. September 2017 is just 3 months ago.

My husband's I-140 was approved almost 3 months ago and we're still waiting for action on the I-485.
As it took over a year for the I-140 to be approved our medicals have expired so we're basically waiting for an RFE to submit new ones. I was hoping that everything would be sorted by Christmas but that's out of the question now.

Re: Green card WAITING - I-140 APPROVED BUT no progress since
I raised a service request a few weeks ago and the reply said that they were being reviewed and to expect action within 60 days - I imagine it'll be soon but I don't know exactly when...
