Default further issues at clearance?

Hi

Thanks RT and and everybody for the replies you gave me.I need further
assistance.
When I contacted the travel agent off,he said the flight will stop at
frankfurt for fuel for 4 hrs and I will travel in the same flight
number.
the routing of my flight will be

hyd -> mumbai->frankfurt->chicago->RDU

As the main immigration clearance will be Chicago ,will I be asked for
a transit visa at frankfurt?
On what conditions a transit visa can be asked ?
Will stopping a flight at frankfurt will create any problems for me as
I do n ot have a transit visa?
I have a passport valid upto 2011 and visa validity upto 2008.

This is just to make sure safe and clear before I leave.
thanks for the reply

You should ask the airline about that. As far as I recall, Germany does
require transit visas of some nationalities, but not of others. You might
also want to visit the Web site of a German consulate.

It may also depend on whether or not you leave the aircraft - but then, you
may also need a transit visa even if you stay on board.
