Frankfurt doctors appointment experience

Hi everyone.
I just come from my doc's appointment in Frankfurt today and it wasn't all that bad. It
took some time though. I was there at 7:30 am when they opened and only one couple was
before me. I was done by 9 am. Now, for all who will have to do the exam in Franfurt, too,
a little about the procedure. First, bring you passport, even when you don't have the
interview on the same day. I didn't ring mine and wil have to fax it to them later. But
for that time, they also took my other ID. When you come in, you'll be seated on the first
floor, given numbers and have to fill out a form about prior illnesses, medicine you're
taking and stuff like that. Then you're sent down to have your urine-sample, blood-sample
and x-ray of your chest taken. After that you're sent back up with your x-ray and wait for
the docotor. He then leads you into a cabine, where you have to undress down to your
undies. He then will listen to your heartbeat, your lungs, feel your ankles (no clue
why!), takes a quick look at your privates (not as closely as the ppl at the exam for the
military service), then feeels shortly above (sorry, don't know the English word for it,
but the German word is "Leiste") and finaly measures your blood-pressure. That's it, you
can dress again, he hands you the x-ray in an envelope and tells you to take it with you
in your carry-on when you enter the US.
Voila! You're done!
Hope this helps you guys, ho still have to go through this. It's not as bad as you think
before, so no worries!

Probably for swelling, as it is often an indication of circulation problems, kidney
problems, as well as other things.

Leiste = Groin
Sounds like it was a fairly simple procedure. Glad it went well for you.
