E2 Employee VISA activation
Hello,
My E2 Visa was issued earlier today, however I won’t be entering the US until the back end of April (business reasons); will the VISA become active once I enter the US, or does it activate the moment it is issued?, do I need to enter the US within a certain period?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

There should be an expiration date on the Visa itself. That is the date by which you need to begin uninterrupted travel to the USA.

Visa becomes available as soon as you get it back in your Passport, the duration it is valid for will be specified.

The visa (VISA is a credit card) becomes "activate" when you enter at a US POE. I'm assuming there is a date on the visa which says when it expires.
By the back of April you mean by the end of the month of April, i.e. the last week?

Towards the end of the month. Not specific.

Really? Thanks.
...since we are quoting
THIS: "Towards the end of the month. Not specific."
Thanks for the replies.

FYI. A visa is a travel document that allows you to request entry to the country. If admitted, you then have a “status” based on that visa category, but you will no longer need the visa itself until you travel outside the country. It may sound like details, but those details can become very important. One such situation is renewal.
