Default Consulate processing

Hi I am a UK citizen applying for eb3 unskilled. I am living in Canada waiting for decision to be made of permanent residence.

1) will my consular interview be in London or Canada ?
2) will having PR application in for Canada increase my chances of denial at consulate for green card? And vice versa (eb3 application in effect PR Canada application?

Thanks for any help.

That'll depend on whether you sent the application to the US Consular Service in the UK or Canada.

No.

No.

1) Immigrant visa interviews for all of Canada are in Montreal. Although the US has two diplomatic posts in Ontario, neither one is in London.

2) Irrelevant. As I noted, Montreal will be the place of your interview absent a change in procedures (which can happen).

Thanks do you mean they could have change in proceduresprocedure re: dual residency apps? If so. Is there somewhere I can check? Also caution 14 years ago for theft of Gillette razors :-(

You can check the US Embassy websites to see which visas are processed at each one.

Make sure you answer all arrest questions honestly and provide all information and paperwork needed.

I suggest you don't try to make sense of anything Mr. Folinsky posts. His posts have become increasingly whimsical of late.

It used to be that multiple consulates in Canada and Mexico would do immigrant visas. Some years back, immigrant visas were consolidated in Montreal for Canada and Just for Mexico. OP seems to be some distance from final visa interview. Who knows what procedures will be in the future?

That consolidation took place nearly 20 years ago.
