Default Chances of combining biometrics appointments?

Wife has an I-90 in the works to replace a green card, and an N-400. Both require biometrics appointments, and unsurprisingly they're on different dates but at the same venue. YSC and NBC service centers if that changes anything.

Not really knowing much about these appointments except that they take fingerprints, has anybody here been in the same boat and asked the officials to do both forms at once, then cancel the second appointment?

Getting tenuous now but my N-400 date is different to hers (submitted 2 minutes later, scheduled 2 days later ) - anybody managed to walk in with their spouse and get them done together?

Fortunately it's not far if we have to stick to the 3 separate dates.

The date, time and place of the biometrics are NOT cast in stone. As long as the ASC has a bar coded notice, they can take the biometrics "early or at a different location.

Wonderful, thank you. Yes, we have all three barcoded notices.

Well... she was indeed able to do both biometrics at once, and could have gone in early as it was quiet. I didn't go as I had to babysit. But the IO (not a clerk, she says) said she didn't need to have applied for the I-90 (lost GC) for her N-400, which is not what the online application says at all.

Sigh. I suppose Ian-MSTM was right about government websites being economical with the truth.

Did she ask about getting a current I-551 stamp in her passport while she was there? Some of them can do that for you.

She did - they don't do it there but in another center 15 minutes away (Riverside ASC vs San Bernadino Field Office).

Did mine today, several days early. Nobody batted an eyelid that I was there on the wrong day. Done and out the door 12 minutes later. Probably would have been quicker had I not realised my number had already been called before I even left the 2nd staging post desk. Very friendly staff.

Would the region matter, if I am scheduled for Hartford CT, can I walk-in to the Manhattan ASC in NYC?

Based upon past experience, it can be done at a different location. The bar coded appointment notice will be scanned and the biometrics are captured electronically.
