Default B1-B2 Visa completion help

Hi all

Newbie here so sorry if this has been asked before.

I am a Uk truck driver going over to Canada to work, I will crossing over into the US to deliver goods so I need a B1-B2 visa.

I am really confused as on the DS-160 application it askes for a contact and place of stay. I can not provide that info as I will be staying in my truck. I am worried If I put that on the DS-160 it will be declined. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Many thanks

Is this not something that's allowed on the VWP? The VWP allows the same business travel activities that a B-1 would.

Thanks for the info but unfortunately I can not apply under the VWP route as I have a criminal record form 1999. someone told me to apply to London for a interview regarding my conviction and my visa will be agreed or rejected then??

sorry I am so confused with it all, I called a couple of visa companies but they want £300 just to have a chat!!

What exactly was your offense? It may not be a CIMT.

Just checking re: the in Canada side of things, have you already got your criminal rehab sorted? That can take a year or so, so if you haven't got it already, do make sure you apply asap.

I am very ashamed to say it was a drink drive DR10 conviction in 1999.

Yes I have that all sorted, I employed a immigration attorney to help me with that side of things.

IMO, a drink drive conviction is not a CIMT. I don't see why you couldn't use the VWP.

I am retired but I will say my gut reaction is to ask whether or not it is better to obtain documentation in Canada. I know that when I was in practice in Los Angeles was to refer to experienced attorneys on the border, one in Bellingham WA, the others in Buffalo NY.

Good luck.
