AYE! I NEED HELP!
Ok long story short....with all the commotion of the USCIS fees raising, my
workload was pretty crazy/hectic. I made a giant mistake. I sent 2 of my
clients' I-485 to the Nebraska Service Center when they are supposed to go to
the Texas Service Center. (Both are based on a I-140 receipt notice)
Here's my question:
1. How much trouble am I in? I don't want my clients to have to pay for the
new fees, and I'm afraid the USCIS will just reject it cause I mailed it to
the wrong service center.
2. Is there any way I can speak to a USCIS officer (in person)? I have
called and called the customer service center but nothing on the menu fits
what I need! I need to speak to someone. (beg for mercy on my very stupid
stupid error)

Re: AYE! I NEED HELP!
I have moved your thread to the Immigration forum, as it was not a Marriage-based question.

Are you a lawyer? Then you should know if it's ok or not.
If you are not a lawyer, why do you send stuff on others' behalf?
In any case, CIS has special FAQs for the current I-140/I-485 situation on their
website. Read them.

I am not a lawyer.
For reliable advice, consult a competent immigration attorney.

You won't be able to reach an individual about your specific applications. All you can do is wait to see what they do, which is one of 2 things:
-return the applications to you outright
-transfer the applications themselves
Other users have reported that petitions (not applications) have been transferred to the correct service center when they've made the same mistake. Their only 'penalty' was a short delay in processing.
Cross your fingers and watch the online case processing.
Just curious.. what type of business do you have?
