Already have Social Security Number applying for H1B
Hi
I was hoping someone would be able to help. I am British radiographer looking to work in the USA. Already doing my conversion exams and have contact numerous hospitals to look for someone to sponsor my H1B.
I lived in the US when I was a child (but am a British Citizen) and have a Social Security Number still valid from my time there. Would this help my applications at all?
Any advice on the H1B front?
Kind Regards,
A

Forgot to mention my Dad lives in the US and has done for the last 20 years and is finally doing his green card application at the moment. Would this be beneficial information for visa appliations?

No.
Keep at it.
No - his status is irrelevant. The only possible advantage to you, is that if he becomes a US citizen (he can apply 5 years after he gets a green card), then he can sponsor you for an immigrant visa - and in about 10 years after that, you can get a green card yourself.

Make sure any job offer is for a Cap exempt position.
