Saw this ad on Indeed.ca

Long Haul Truck Driver and Owner Operators Wanted
NEXTRUX TRANSPORT LTD - Calgary, AB
$50,000 - $150,000 a year
We are a very busy transportation company; looking for Owner Operators and Drivers. The ideal candidate must have clean driving record.

Hiring experienced as well as new DRIVERS to operate a 53', dry van and reefers on long distances and highways on both sides of the border. WE ARE GETTING FOUR LMO BY NEXT MONTH . Foreign workers are welcome.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform the pre/post-trip inspections of the brand-new vehicle assigned to drive.
Organize, load and unload products during delivery as dispatched.
Gather and complete paperwork for deliveries.
Delivering products according to customer requirements.
Follow regulations for safe load securement.
Maintain proper working condition of equipment and cleanliness of vehicle.
Reporting all customer problems and other issues to our dispatch office.
QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a valid Class 1 License
Smartphone/Tablet utilization
Experience with long haul trips
Familiarity with US and Canadian transport laws
Knowledge of hours of service, keeping service logs, load security, axle/gross weights
Detail oriented.
Previous experience crossing the Canada/USA border is essential
Able to pass all required screening tests, including - Criminal record check, Drug and alcohol screening, Safe driving screening.
We pay $1.5/miles

Driver salary around $48000.00-$57000.00 depend on experience.

They say they have 4 "LMO" which is wrong for , "foreign workers welcome" which may mean they are hiring drivers from overseas.The company are based in Delta BC not Calgary.I dont know it may help someone looking for a LMIA.

$1.50/ mile is not top money by any standards. Fuel is cheap at the moment but the US exchange rate adds about 30% on again right now to US fuel.
If you have high truck payments $1.50 would be tight.

That is presuming that the $1.50 quoted in the ad is supposed to refer to owner op's and it's not just a company wage mistake.

Hello Neil,

Long time no hear. Saw your post here. Gonna give these guys a go. Got my PR in 2012 but came back to Europe in 2013. So if I want to go back to Canada I'll have to start LMIA allover again.

How you doing. You can give these guys a try but I wouldn't expect too much. As you probably know already LMIAs are pretty scarce but I wish you luck and if you need any help contact me ok.
