Is Edmonton or Calgary a good city to stay some days?
Thanks

Re: Recce Trip - witch destination
Both cities have lots of trucking companies, few if any are able to bring over foreign drivers at the moment. One based in Lethbridge recently started getting LMIAs again but they are using those for foreign drivers already here. One company is rumored to be bringing some over here in Edmonton and that company is TAG Logistics but i'm not certain.
Don't even consider Ontario as you can't get residency there as a truck driver.
Are you single ? if not what does your partner do for a living ?

LMIAs are pretty thin on the ground in AB these days,BC might be the same, best bet is SK or MB.Best to contact companies who have LMIAs first then come out and visit them if any have them.No point in coming over if no company have them.Good luck.

Contact Murray at Searcy and chat with him, ideally email him first (he's their recruiter)

What is with the high and low wages? When I look at jobbank.ca there are many companies who pay high wages. They don't have the 30% to 10% problem or do I misunderstand something? 😃

Some may be city/regional and some may be long haul, cant be sure why without talking to them, some may be just cheap S.O.B's lol

Japa have a look at the thread "Canada LMOs" there is an ad from kijij for LMIAs.
The issue with the pay is some companies pay good others are cheap .The east coast doesnt pay well ,in Alberta in the oilfields pay very good.In Manitoba alot of companies are paying rates from the 90s !
