PCV/HGV driving in Australia/Canada
A little vague I know but early days!
I'm a very experienced UK/European PCV touring driver who also has Class 1 HGV (some class 2 experience - minimal class 1 experience).
Looking to live and work somewhere different! Love Australia - like Canada.
The research I've done so far has led me to believe there's little or no chance of PCV work so wondered if trucking was a way of getting my foot in the door.
Really no specifics on where (very flexible) but any advice would be appreciated.

I think as far as OZ goes unless you have family to sponsor you, you are stuffed. As for Canada when I came here a big majority of companies wanted 2 yrs experience but most the adverts in the last 12 mths or so they are asking for 5 yrs experience.
And there's a problem throughout Canada at the minute with companies using TFW's.

You have no chance of getting into Aus as a Trucker. I spent some time out there and had to retake all of my licenses as if I had never driven before!!
We got PR through family living there and a combination of my wifes skills.
