WTF in America

Re: WTF in America
What kind of moron:
a) lays the water supply pipe from the well to the house on the Florida dirt without digging it in?
b) does it with PVC pipe?
c) puts a PVC ball valve two feet away from the building, so that it can be cleverly camouflaged by fallen leaves?
d) doesn't put a shut off at the well head that works on that particular supply?
Don't these muppets know that PVC goes brittle in the sun and isn't particularly resilient to a two hundred and twenty pound oaf stepping on a well hidden tap???
Muggins has just had to make a 30 mile round trip dash to Home Depot just before closing time and effect a, fortunately very quick but very wet and muddy, repair in the dark, in a nice new puddle, whilst getting eaten by hordes of mossies that inhabit the jungle we live in!!! Thank the good Lord for push-fit fittings
Suppose I'll be adding 150' HDPE pipe to the ever going 'to-do' list.
Not sure if that was the low point of the day, as I discovered, whilst fixing a few non functioning light switches, that every switch cover I got behind has blackened earth wires.
Hard to believe that a house built in 1988 is in need of a rewire and a replumb, despite the fact that it has already had both in the not too distant past, on the positive side the roof-over seems to be holding up well and it only took two days to evict hordes of Carpenter ants!!!
Edit: And just to round things off nicely, I appear to have relocated to the very same zipcode as used in the new TV series 'Claws'. Lawd 'elp us.

That can be handy, pup likes both, i tie him to my Trolley, paying today and did not notice him heading off into the car park with it.
First time in a long time I got out for less than a 100 bucks.

Re: WTF in America
I could hear someone in the aisle talking to somebody who obviously had a dog and saying what a big dog he was, then they came around the corner and saw my pup sprawled across the floor and he said well maybe not that big, I think he is getting pretty fed up people asking if he is a Polar Bear.
Aaargh, just remembered something I did not get.

Re: WTF in America
No idea. Just surprised me since Home Depot in Canada has big signs on the front door that say no dogs unless a certified service animal.
No idea about Lowes though none near me so I dont go there.

Re: WTF in America
Always a group in nearly any high growth area the locals blame for high costs, in Vancouver, BC people blame the Chinese, in Oregon it seems to be Californian's.
