Human remains stolen from Ozone Park cemetery on Halloween | New York's PIX11 / WPIX-TV

Real Halloween Horror story going on there.

So yet again we reach a new depth of WTFery in the US. .... And it was the child's mother that did this!

I think embalming bodies is weird, and placing them in mausoleums is even weirder. Not that using a concrete septic tank "grave liner" (which is commonly required in the US) isn't much better.

Nobody deserves to have their remains stolen for who-knows-what-purpose, but this is another reason to go with cremation rather than burial.

Cremation all the way for me, it's just how we dispose of stiffs in my family.

Maybe one of those things where your ashes can be used to plant a tree, I love trees, so it'd be nice to 'turn into' one when I snuff it. Either way, you're going back to the earth, so to speak, might as well do it with style, eh?

I want to be scattered somewhere really annoying. No preference, so long as it pisses people off.

Just like sand, you want to be coarse and irritating and get everywhere.

Don't visit any communist (or former) nations, as they love to display their handiwork publicly.

I agree, but have convinced myself I am indeed immortal, after all I've made it this far despite some questionable life choices.

If my shenanigans do one day catch-up with me, I'll have hopefully written some detailed instructions involving a spacex rocket & high earth orbit, to deal with whatever's left.

Like the guy who tossed his buddy's remains into the orchestra pit at the Metropolitan Opera in NYC the other week? That was a real show stopper!

That reminds me of Every Home Should Have One (with Marty Feldman): as a couple were about to "engage" on the beach, he asked her "What's in it for me?" "Sand".

A buddy of mine (mind you he was from Sheffield), died after a battle with cancer.

He wasn't religious and his wishes were for no service, no funeral and his body was to be donated to science.

I like his idea, but I'm having trouble getting the wife on board.
