No snow, nor frost here this weekend.

We've just come back from dinner. I didn't need a coat, or a sweater, or even a long sleeved shirt - I was just wearing a lightweight madras shirt.

I have a friend in NC (Greenville area) who posted that they had their sliding glass door open--on purpose!--yesterday afternoon.

Bit cooler today, she said, but still better than last week's snow & sleet!!

I want my kid to go back to school. It's been a week now. Today no school because of rain. Makes a change from no school because of snow and ice.

The arctic air has moved away, and tropical air and rain has moved in but still chilly at low 40's, but better then most of the last month of spending below 32F.

Ten-twelve days ago the temperatures didn't get above freezing, we had ice and snow storms, and we opened the blinds to get as much warmth as possible from the sun.

Today it's 70°F, I have been wearing shorts and a T-shirt, we kept the blinds closed to avoid needing to run the AC, and our neighbour was outside this afternoon mowing the grass!

Twelve days ago , it was 5F, with a low of 0F here and we're looking at 50s later this week. I don't know what the winter equivalent of an Indian Summer is, but I quite like it.

Winter happened down South this year on the evening of the 8th January and we had the slightest of frosts on the morning of the 9th. I wore trousers to work (and got horribly sweaty).
I believe Winter came early this year as I recall it being on 10th February last year.

Well the cold spell ended... it's 80 degrees now. The short shorts are back on...
