Seems this guy really had a bee in his bonnet about texting in movies.

I'm just glad that his police training was so good that he thought pulling out a gun and firing in a room filled with dozens of people, many of whom are children, over such a petty argument was the right cause of action.

Ah, so they were expectin' violence...

Actually it's R rated, meaning children under 17 have to be accompanied by their parent/guardian.

Apparently retired police officers have the right to concealed carry in all 50 states. Makes you wonder why.

Because they are beyond reproach. Obviously.

+1

And there are often ways to obtain the movie before it comes out on DVD

They are the thin blue line that stands between you and some crazy in a cinema pulling out his gun rather than politely asking you to turn off your phone.

So they would need to be accompanied by somebody who could be carrying?

Not sure what the age limit is for CC. Probably varies.

It would appear that this guy has issues and seems to be just a quaestion of time before it got out of hand.

The movie was "Lone Survivor." With a title like that, they're practically begging the filmgoers to kill each other.

From the newspaper link:
Quote
She said she heard about Monday's shooting through a Facebook post she noticed while driving that afternoon. Because the incident also involved someone texting at the same theater, she asked a friend to see if there was a picture of the suspect and send it.

When she saw it she said she had to pull the car over.

"It sent chills down my spine," she said. "I knew it was that person that I had an encounter with a few weeks prior."
Unquote

She only had to pull over because the photo sent chills down her spine? Before that, it was Ok to be checking Facebook while driving? FFS some folk really shouldn't be allowed on the road....

Stupid bitch. They should be able to ticket her retroactively, by virtue of her putting it in print.
