One thing's for sure. Anyone who has an IQ of 65 or higher knows that printing money ad infinitum is the worst possible thing you can do.

Equally I despair of the unthinking left trying to paint Obama as a heroic, historic president when I see him, as you say, as a rather dull career politician.
Ahem .... disagree! He is going to remembered as a historic president above and beyond the fact that he is black. He has healthcare passed something that no President has been able to achieve since back in the forties. He's bringing the troops home from Iraq and will before the end of his current term have started to bring the troops home from Afganistan. The economy has started to come back slowly but surely ... There's more but I have mentioned here are the important milestones. What he has achieved is not shabby by any standard imho.

There you go calling anyone who disagrees with you stupid. Well done. If only we could have a grad-A genius like your good self running this country, instead of all these obvious morons!

Healthcare... perhaps, but I'll give it 10-20 years before deciding if it's been an historic change.

Bringing troops home? I don't think any leader has ever gone down in the history books for bringing troops home from wars without a decisive victory.

Being black? He will most certainly be in the history books for that, and I think it's a great thing for America... but it neither adds nor detracts from his political achievements.

Hang on there's more before you make up your mind

President Barack Obama had so many big pieces of legislation passed through the lame duck session of Congress that he should be called Mr. December

Yeh, you have to be seriously deluded to blame Obama for the financial mess. The recession started 13 months before he came to power and the shit hit the fan in the financial markets 5 months before he took over. I do think Obama has done too little to encourage job creation post recession, but the reality is that the Republicans' goal has not been to help the economy, but to ensure that Obama is a one term president.

Quantative Easing is under control of the Federal Reserve, not Obama.

It is historic whichever way you look at it. I see where you are coming -- it will be picked to pieces before we have a cohesive plan put together. But at least we have our foot in the door ....

and the Chairman of the Federal Reserve in an interview on 60 minutes several weeks ago said that they are not printing more money.

However, I notice he did not rule out collecting newspaper, tin cans and soda bottles for extra cash.........

The rats fled the ship they sank and left Obama tied up by their cronies at the helm.

Yes, it must have been - the description of "a moderate Republican ... who made a lot of sense" pretty much rules out the possibility of it having been Meg Whitman ...

Ha, very true! Christine is the sort of leader the Republican party should be supporting.
