Met through mutual friends in NYC a couple of times in fall 1977, but on New Year's Eve he gave me a ride home . . . and hasn't left yet. (Made it official six years later.)

Joined Kiss.com on Dec 22nd 2002. Started talking to him and he sent me some pics. Thought he looked like Jasper Carrot!!!
News Years day he called me at 4am to wish me a happy new year. We talked for 7 hours.
Met him on January 3rd. We were immediately hooked and inseparable and he kind of moved in within a few weeks.
We got married on Jan 3rd 2009 so we could continue celebrating our first anniversary.
Love him to the moon and back and have my ex husband to thank for telling me about online dating! Lol

Lincoln Park area Chicago. I'd just got off a long flight, settled into my hotel and we went for five guys for me! That was 2015. Knew she was the one the moment we met, and we spent the whole 3 weeks I was there dating and getting to know each other. Kept in touch, got together, and now it's been almost 2 years already!

September 92, pottery evening class in Aberdeen, Scotland. Other than the teacher, i was the only guy so she didn't have much choice. Married in 2000 after a 5 month trip on a tandem to check she could put up with me close quarters

Always great to here situations very similar to ours work out. Marriage has been briefly mentioned, but no plans here for us yet on that front! Our plan is to move to the UK for a couple years for her post doc, but through family contacts it seems she could get a good post doc in Michigan, Toledo or Texas... God knows what that means for us!

I physically met my Canadian husband on August 23, 1997 in Rutland, Vermont.
We started talking on MIRC in a 40plus chatroom back in 1996. Started talking with hubby in 40plus and agreed to met in person nearly a year later. After the first meeting, we met every other weekend in Lake George, NY until he got his K-1 on March 23, 1997, had his interview and was successful in obtaining the K-1 June 10, 1997, activated it on August 28, 1997 and married on September 26, 1997.
Neither one of us wanted to marry as we didn't see the need to at our age and it being second marriages but immigration made paid of that since we couldn't live together in either country without a visa and he didn't want to live in Canada any longer. 19th anniversary will be in 2 weeks.

First contacted online in May 2012 thanks to the Scouting Association.
Met in person in the arrivals hall at Dulles (IAD) in March 2013.
Proposed on top of the Braves dug out at Turner Field in June 2015.
Married at the First World War memorial in DC Feb 17th 2016, 23 days after my Decree Absolute was issued.

First year at university. I think the first conversation we had was involving the difficulties of getting permanent marker off his butt Then a few weeks later we met again in a bar and had a much more normal conversation.

We met online in a chat room, talked just as friends for 6 months. Got to talking about holidays and found out that he got back into Florida from a cruise the same day I arrived for a holiday at Disney World, we first met in person at Epcot.

Coffee shop on Commercial Drive in Vancouver, BC the morning of January 6 2001.
Married seven years later, moved to London, stayed for six years then relocated to San Diego. Two sprogs with one on the way... we marvel at how the years have flown by.
