[QUOTE=SultanOfSwing;11050311]The most important thing, IMO, is to remember to close the square brackets on the ****ing quote tags.

I think we can all agree, as weird as top-posting is, it's an order of magnitude better than what results if one's quotes aren't surrounded by tags fully enclosed in these: [] ...[/QUOTE

I heartily agree - p*sses me off no end]

For those who are wondering, this thread started because it was off-topic in the marriage-based forum. I moved it here for a good banter.

Personally, I can read JEff's posts just fine. Since the quote is obvious (as it's in brackets and offset), I can tell what the response is, whether it's on the top or the bottom. It might be annoying to some, but I don't think it qualifies as utterly incomprehensible!

I guess the basic question here is: Are you a top or a bottom?

That's a rather personal question, Rene

It's like when I order a deep dish pizza, the girl on the phone always asks 'cut or uncut'. I always wonder how my answer would affect my order

In here, top posting doesnt leave the massive amount of cruft in the forum that the denizens of Yahoo groups do, because you can't automatically include all the stuff from every previous post in your current post.

I've had megabyte sized Yahoo omnibus postings with about three lines of new content in them.

It amazes me that some folk knock them off every time they quote someone.

What was this thread about?

Or to make sure they are the poster pushed in the wheel chair and left wherever.

[I think I just squashed my chance of getting any extra votes for Nicest Poster ... but I did avoid including ANY quotes, so no-one would get confused - surely that's worth a vote?]
