Honestly, you could have ended the list there and it would have been more than adequate. ....
Breakfast burritos are OK, not bad at all, but on the food front it has to be ribeye steaks that are #1 on my list.

Ribeyes are good. Get them nice and thick, cook them nice and rare, plenty of butter. Great stuff.

I saw a bald eagle swoop down and grab some roadkill yesterday. I see so much more awesome wildlife here.

We have a nesting pair that live round our way, but I've only ever seen them in flight, at a distance.

Now, if you like blue jays (which I do), our yard is the place to be. They've been carrying out a courtship ritual for the last 5 days out there. I think we're going to get a pair nesting in our juniper again.

So thats why we keep losing baseball games too busy trying to pick up the opposite sex and score a home run.

At least by losing last year, you gave the Indians a chance to blow that 3-1 lead.

That never gets old ...

I am amazed I haven't turned into a breakfast burrito. The best time to have one is walking home from the pub after a few sherberts! Replaces the kebab quite nicely.

Burritos for all occasions

Not sure how big the Greek presence is out your way, but I've found that gyros are a half decent filler-inner for kebabs these days.

I agree that gyros are "half decent". They'd need chili sauce to be wholly decent.

Yes, or that nice creamy garlic sauce my local kebabbery (new word I invented) used to do. Tzatziki sauce is OK, but not a patch on chili sauce or garlic sauce. Or both of them together ...

Sultana this is for you.

Came shambling out of a pub down near Venice beach and I saw a kebab street stand, you remember the greasy elephants dick on a stick, well the Guinness in my belly demanded I get one, and damn handsome it was to!!

Seems kebabs are becoming popular here now.

Same result in the pan the next day, just like the real ass burning things I remember from blighty.

Nice one. You can probably get Doner kebabs (or ones closer to them than gyros are anyway) in and around Chicago, but I'm out in the far suburbs so they have yet to find me.

But combining Guinness and kebabs is a recipe for anal disaster. Guinness shits are bad enough at the best of times, but the kebab just compounds that by making them come out too fast. Worth it, though.

For me it mostly comes down to personal space. I don't have to live cheek by jowl with neighbors. I can drive half an hour and be in total wilderness, yet have all the conveniences of metro living. I suppose I could have that in the UK if I moved north, but the home counties where I grew up are terribly overcrowded.

My daughter's school just sent all students a warning that they shouldn't go into the woods beside the school right now because the bear that lives there all year currently has cubs.

If you go down to the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise...
