This year my insurance has a zero deductible for telehealth visits after I have met my deductible on HSA plan, or from day one on the HRA plan. Has anyone has experience of a telehealth appointment yet? I think normal cost is $40.

Yes, I've used it a few times, mostly with kids.

Our copay is only $10 ( half of a dr visit). One time was during the night and I was worried about a high temp and should I take kiddoe to ER/Urgent care - didn't need to and was given good advice. That saved me minimum $90 for urgent care co-pay.

Good for those times when you need advice and perhaps for emergency prescription or just need antibiotics.

I have not used that particular service but how local hospital have something similar that I have used and I prefer it to going to my doctors office.

I used something similiar a few times here, not phone but video health, but each time the doctor said to go into a clinic, so I no longer use it.

The telehealth option is either via a kiosk at Walgreens or via a skype (or similar). They will give out certain prescriptions. This is different to the nurseline option. The difference being a doctor visit is a few hundred dollars, telehealth is $40 and Walgreens is a lot more convenient.

Used the doctor on demand app before. Very easy and sent a prescription to local pharmacy. Costs me $40 on HDHP and $20 for my coworker on a different plan.

It sounds like this service makes health care in the US much more affordable, which is good news.
