You know what? I could do with a little Enid Blyton in my life right now

Waterloo Road is back tonight. Hopefully it may get better now that it's in a new school/location...but I'm not holding my breath. Edit: Ooops it started last week...I remember Bob mentioning it.
I'm lovin' Good Cop. I thought it would be a good gritty cop drama and so far I'm not disappointed.

Good to see Michael Angelis (Boys From The Blackstuff/Auf Wiedersehen, Pet).

So apparently Merlin, is coming back for a 5th series at the end of the month...

Thought it had kind of run its course, but there you go...might give it another punt though as it was a fun, daft show.

I haven't yet. It has excellent reviews.

"it’s directed, in his British debut, by Birger Larsen, known over here for directing a handful of episodes in the first series of the original Danish drama Forbrydelsen (The Killing), and it bears the “Scandi noir” hallmarks we can all recognise – "

Love the Scandi dramas, so I'm looking forward to watching this

It's a Ford Maddox Ford novel. The book is a classic, totally brilliant, about the end of an era.

I dont think its an answer to Downton as its more kind of bookish / historical rather than a soap in gorgeous dresses / outfits
I agree. Only watched the first episode thus far. Good stuff. Although I too, like JG, find it kind of weird, thinking what the hell is Sherlock Holmes doing in this

I think I must be the only person, who having see Downton Abbey, thought it was utter crap.

It's meant to be strange in the sense that the Ian guy is portrayed as strange having completely lost his grip on reality. Other than that it's totally gripping and I loved it.

Have you watched Good Cop yet Desi? Hubby and I can't get over how good it was...best thing we've viewed in ages. I found one particular scene in the first episode to be quite harrowing.

It is crap but brilliant crap. Posh slush in gorg costumes and posher accents. Its a soap for those who wouldnt ever admit they watch soaps. Brilliant stuff and not to be taken seriously.
I think b. Cumberbatch described the latest series as and i quote "*****ing atrocious" but then he's kind of competition with parades end.
