UK TV Programs

Re: UK TV Programs
Rather enjoyed it. Tad slow to get going though, but does seem to be brewing up quite a good bit of tension and back story between the officer, the soldiers and the family of the killed soldier.
Seems a bit of a mismash of the Unit and Army Wives.

I did think about waiting, but was suffering withdrawal symptoms from it, so decided I couldn't wait!!

Anyone catch Me and Mrs Jones?
New comedy, has that Alexander bird from Coupling, Neil Morrissey and the Inspector Lynley chap, as well as a bunch of other faces.
Anyway, not seen it yet, but have it lined up...

Anybody been watching the new series of Red Dwarf? It's like it's never been away, it's great.

Basically it's a divorced couple, one who is dating a much younger person, the other who is trying to and who's son has come home from a gap year of travelling the world and has brought a friend home.
Pretty quick paced and silly, but a lot of fun

Switch
New comedy drama type thing, about a bunch of witches living together in the modern day, little inept and have to help each other out.
It's kind of a cross between Charmed and Witches of Eastwick I'd say.
Kind of okay for a first episode, worth giving it another one before deciding.

8 Out of 10 Cats, back for another series, which is always fun
Also, on PBS, the Midwives period drama...we never bothered catch it when it was on live as it didnt' sound very good, but catching a bit on PBS, kind of liked it, has Miranda Hart in it and she's surprisingly good in a serious role.

This is a great show. Miranda Hart is perfectly cast as well. My wife and I were wondering why a show of this style (period drama, human stories rather than explosions and gun fights) and quality just isn't made here in the US. There are hundreds of stories that could be made along these lines here.
