Default UK short term care insurance

Any recommendations for insuring a car for a few weeks in the UK?

If you are not resident in Uk then almost impossible. Are you talking about insuring a car you own in the UK or getting added onto someones insurance? Best thing is to rent a car as their insurance will cover non residents.

Sorry to hear about your loss k.

I agree...it's almost impossible for a non UK resident to insure a car. You could try calling your father's insurers and explain.

If it helps anyone:
My dad's insurance was with Liverpool Victoria. I called to cancel, and they added me on for the two weeks before the cancel date. For twelve pounds charge.
I did get the dreaded residency question, but it was not a problem.
