And I'm suddenly sad about it... he's just got to a really amusing age, where he's equal adult conversational company, and savagely, bitingly funny.

Luckily it sounds like he'll turn into a monster in a year or so, and I'll be glad to see the back of him at 18
If he hasn't turned into a monster yet it unlikely he will now and if he does it will take longer than turning 18 to claim him back.

I see he finally got his lobster roll you'll have a happy teen now then?

Wow, looks great!! Have you eaten there?

We have a couple of favourite outdoor seafood cafes we go to that look a bit like this one, where you dine at big picnic tables under a canopy, and the fish is fresh and tasty.... But I haven't seen this one. If it's not too expensive (a few are), we'll have to try it.

I have eaten there, but not in a very long time as it is quite a drive from where we live. It was excellent -- very very fresh -- and lobster rolls always taste better when you're by the shore; however, I do recall that it was expensive, and I'm sure the prices have soared since I was there.

I am dumfounded - yesterday I gave him a shout at 6.10am and he got up without a complaint, showered, ate breakfast and drove to school.

This morning he got up BY HIMSELF at 6.10am, I was just coming out of my room to shout and he was already up and heading for the shower.

Could this be The Twilight Zone?

Yes, the one in your spoiler photo seems to show the too-much-mayo-plus-celery-bits version of a lobster roll. I'm gobsmacked that McD's offered this, small as it looks. They are seriously expensive around us, even the not-so-good ones....

But the best lobster roll version (IMHO) is the one ChoclateBabz's son got, i.e. the only-melted-butter-salt-pepper version with the nice big chunks of lobster in full view on the split roll, not hidden under mayo & celery or anything else...just lobster and melted butter.

First week of school and teenager twists his ankle playing basketball.
Nasty purple and blue, cannot put any weight on it.
So off today, resumes school tomorrow with a pair of crutches.
He's pretty impressed, he gets a key to the lift. Plus, bonus he gets a freshman to carry his backpack and violin.

He won't be so happy when his physical therapy starts tomorrow evening.
