me too, hubby went to look at three yesterday, the one on the lake is the one we put in for (looks more like a canal) The one we got bumped on is back on the market too, so that is our second choice

Moved here in 1995.
--Landed a job at Amazon in the late 90s
--Adopted a cat.
--Lost said job in 2001 when it seemed everyone was losing their job.
--Survived my first earthquake.
--Adopted second cat.
--Found a new job a few months on, still there almost 10 years later.
--Bought a condo in the "hip" part of Seattle. Went to a lot of bars.
--Sold hip condo to move to a "family friendly" neighborhood, bigger house.
--Cat number one disappeared.
--Had a baby.
--Went to less bars.
--Bought a small RV!
--Made a lot of great friends over the years.
--Daughter is now in Kindergarten and growing up fast.

I worked for a dot.com in Seattle early 2000. The guy who replaced me when I left had just lost his Amazon job. Then he lost his new job a couple of months later when they relocated to Atlanta... tough times.

that about sums it up for me too.
gave up smoking
put on ten ton of weight
On our second dog
gave up trying to dress in any way fashionable in Winter
I now think it's perfectly reasonable to drive 3 hours to Boston to pick people up and drive back again. And think nothing of driving to NYC
Got sent to debt collectors for a hospital bill
oh.....and I got mould in the basement...and just an hour ago got the all clear that we are now mould free and can start to rebuild...woop!
