Hi Pulaski - I have been thinking of Milton and hoping that no news does mean good news...

Yes, no news means plenty of mews! Clearly our vet was wrong, though we can't be sure exactly why he was wrong, or how wrong he was.
Milton still has tummy issues - he frequently produces something very close to diahorrea, but is eating enthusiastically and has slowly put on some weight, though he is still a very slim cat.
At the moment, overall, I would say, if anything, he looks healthier now than he did in May when we were told his life expectancy was 1 week - 1 month.
Obviously things can change quickly, especially if he really does have cancer, but at the moment we could imagine he might live another year or more.

Thank you for asking.

I really hope he continues to do really well.

Yay indeed. They can be tough buggers.
A friends cat was allegedly riddled with cancer as shown on an x-ray but he lived for another 18 months quite happily.

Glad for Milton and the family.
Just thought that his symptoms sound very much like the ones my daughter's cat Ambiguous suffered for many years. A thyroid condition. Her meds were administered in her ear daily. She lived to age 20.

Re: Unspeakable things....
It's funny you mention that, that's what he's been on for the past 11 months, since the kidney diet started to give him diarrhea. It's called Rad Cat, and they do six flavours - venison (which caused the same problem after 9 months), pork and lamb (which he doesn't like), turkey (which he likes), chicken (which he tolerates), and beef (which he is trying tomorrow for the first time). .... The bloody stuff costs us an arm and a leg!
They sell Friskies in our food market 6 for 5 bucks
