Default Poking the bear.

How much can Trump provoke North Korea? I would hate to live in Seoul at the moment. Is Mr T going to try and start a war to increase his ratings?

Poll: Trump approval rating at 42 percent - POLITICO

Will he announce that "The US has just launched a cruise missile attack on North Korea." Then 5 minutes later, say oops sorry I meant Syria, while stuffing his face with chocolate cake?

What are the bookies giving for the odds of a war?

I thought this would be a thread about Russia - which, in US politics, has traditionally been shown as a bear. How disappointing.

We should take out cues from the South Koreans; when they start to worry, then it's real.

NK has done this dance back-and-forth for almost seventy years now. In the end, someone will broker a deal where they will give up nuclear enrichment in return for aid, then the deal will collapse after a few years and they will start rebuilding their nuclear capability.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

I didn't know the daily star was still in print. I guess these sort of stories appeal to their readers.

Any "doctor" willing to make such a public statement without having made a proper examination in a clinical setting is no better than a quack.

The time is now for diplomatic effort. Blustering and threatening never works unless you're prepared to back it up. By Trump sounding off that he's "sending an armada to North Korea" only sends a signal to Kim Jong Un that he means to take aggressive action against his regime.
I was pretty certain before Trump was elected he'd blunder himself into a war sooner or later and now it seems to grow more and more probable each day

On the other hand, if something walks like a duck, looks like a duck and quacks, there's a fair chance its a duck.
