Parkers Fish & Chips

Parkers Fish & Chips
Has anyone ordered the fish and chips from Parkers. Wondered what they taste like after being shipped and then having to reheat them in an oven.

Yes - the fish is good and the chips are obviously proper chip shop chips but they have lost a bit of the straight out of the fryer lustre by the time you get them re-heated. Not tried deep frying them again yet to see if that helps, just been in the oven so far. The Sausage in Batter is spot on.

Thanks sounds better than I expected they might be. Thought with the reheating they might not taste good at all.

I'm interested. Big question - portion size? Is it fancy gourmet food portion size or proper chippy portion size?

Fish is a proper full sized job as is the Sausage in Batter (jumbo). Chips probably on the small portion sized for me, but ample.

Thanks for that info. I love a heaping of chips so I'll have to consider if it's worth it for the small size.... But I guess it's better than the alternative here; nothing!

Granted I don't exactly live in the Grimsby of Georgia, but it's beaten any of the local eateries efforts at Fish and Chips. So, it may not be the open bag cheapness of the UK, but I'd certainly say it is worth the price vs. what I can source otherwise - and no matter how hard you try, at least for me, you cannot replicate the experience in home cooking. They clearly use magic oil in Fish and Chip shops.

Ive had the fish and chips a couple of times. The fish reheats well, the chips go a little dry but are still ok. Portions are big enough that i can share with a skinny child. The sausage in batter was very well received and has been requested for the future
