OT: sending fax to USA from Australia

I have someone faxing me some info from Australia to USA. What are the
numbers they should dial before my fax number?

Not sure if you have a response yet, but it's the same as if they just
called you:

0011 1 123 456 7890
Intl Country code (US) Area code number

Bear in mind the fax may take longer than usual to transmit because
it's being sent over a longer distance and so is more susceptible to
noise.

Thanks...I was told on another group to dial 0015 for a fax????

Yeah, from Australia I used to dial 0015 for a fax. It is the number for the Telstra international fax line. I don't know whether 0011 works but if you are a Telstra customer the 0015 is the right one. It is also a cleaner line for fax transmission.

Basically there are lots of differnet international access codes from oz, some dependent on your phone carrier.
